How to divide and propagate perennials.

Identify the Right Time: The best time to divide most perennials is early spring or fall when the plants are not actively blooming.

Prepare Your Tools: Use clean, sharp tools such as a spade, garden fork, or knife.

Water the Plants: Water the perennials thoroughly a day before you plan to divide them

Dig Up the Plant: Carefully dig around the base of the plant, starting a few inches away from the crown to avoid damaging the roots.

Divide the Root Ball: Shake off excess soil to expose the roots. Use your hands or a tool

Replant the Divisions: Plant the divided sections at the same depth they were originally growing

Care for the New Plants: Keep the newly divided perennials well-watered until they are established
